This month’s release is all about giving you more control and flexibility across the platform. From custom tabs and dropdown fields to reusable onboarding packages and smarter filters, we’ve made big steps forward in how you organise and action your data.
🔖 Custom Tabs for Structuring Custom Fields
Users can now create Custom Tabs within Supplier, Contract, and Savings records to group related custom fields into clearly labelled sections (e.g. “Insurance Info”, “IT Compliance”). These tabs appear in the record view before the “Custom Notifications” tabs and can be selected during custom field setup via a new “Area of Placement” dropdown.

👁️ Dropdown Field Type in Custom Fields
We've added a new “Dropdown” type to custom fields, allowing users to define selectable options (e.g. Pending, Approved, Rejected). Dropdowns are fully editable—values can be added or removed later. Historical values remain viewable on old records even if deprecated.

🧩 Reorder Custom Fields Per Module Section
Users can now drag and drop custom fields into the desired display order within each section of a module (e.g. “Supplier > Summary”). This layout is shared across records and improves readability. Permission-based access is controlled via a new “Reorder Custom Fields” toggle in Roles.

📦 Reusable Supplier Onboarding Packages
A new “Onboarding Packages” submodule has been added under Supplier Management. Create reusable bundles of document and scorecard requests (e.g. “IT Supplier Package”) that can be applied when onboarding a new supplier. Save time by standardising the onboarding process per supplier type.
📨 New Email: Supplier Submission Confirmations
All invited supplier contacts will now receive a confirmation email once a sourcing response is submitted on behalf of their company. This keeps all parties in the loop automatically.
📅 New Notifications for Sourcing Activities
Suppliers now receive:
💡 User-Guiding Text & Subheadings
We’ve added helpful subheadings and descriptions to tables and pop-ups throughout oboloo. These are fully translatable into all 18 supported languages, making the platform easier to navigate globally.
⚠️ Document Expiry Indicator in Compliance Table
If a supplier document is approved but has since expired, a red “Expired” button will now be shown on the supplier compliance table. This makes expired documents easy to identify at a glance.
📉 Improved Filtering Logic for Contract Dashboards
Graphs like “Contracts Expiring or with Notice Periods” now respect exact start and end dates—not just the whole month—providing more accurate visual reporting.
📊 Metric Filters Working with Dashboard Date Filters
Metrics now fully respect all dashboard filters, including the start and end date fields. This creates a consistent and predictable experience across all reporting visuals.
📋 Modal Tables Now Respond to Filters
If you’ve applied filters on the Supplier, Contract, or Savings dashboards, these will now apply to the records shown in pop-up modals as well. No more confusion from seeing unfiltered results mid-workflow.
🪲 Error When Switching from Savings to Contracts
Fixed a bug that showed an error when returning to a contract after viewing a related savings record.
🔗 Create Contracts Directly from Sourcing Activities
After awarding a supplier, users will be able to create a new linked contract directly from the sourcing summary. Key sourcing fields will be auto-mapped into the new contract form.
🧾 Subheadings for Custom Tabs
When creating or editing custom tabs, users will be able to add short subheadings (max 250 characters) for extra context within the record view.
📑 Reorder Custom Fields Within Custom Tabs
We’re extending field ordering to within custom tabs. This will allow you to structure each section precisely the way you want it.
🔕 Stop Contract Notifications When Notice is Given
Once notice has been marked on a contract, system alerts about upcoming notice periods (e.g. 30 days, 7 days) will automatically stop.
👤 New ‘Managed By’ Field for Supplier Records
Assign an owner to each supplier with a new “Managed By” field—just like contracts. Dashboard filters and compliance views will also support this for better visibility.
🔎 Onboarding Owner Filter
The Supplier Onboarding dashboard now includes a filter for “Onboarding Owner” to help manage ownership of onboarding tasks more easily.
📬 Email Notifications for Cancelled Supplier Requests
When a document or scorecard request is cancelled (supplier or contract), the relevant contact will now be notified by email. This applies to all modules.
