🚀 oboloo September 2026 Release Notes

This month, oboloo starts doing more of the work for you. Automated supplier onboarding and automated document renewals take repetitive chasing off your plate, while smarter AI summaries and a batch of eSourcing improvements make everyday tasks faster. Add in more quick-add shortcuts and there's plenty to get stuck into.

📦 Automated Supplier Onboarding

Getting a supplier set up is now faster and smarter. When a supplier enters onboarding, oboloo recommends the right package and recipient so you can send it in a couple of clicks.

• A new setup step recommends an onboarding package based on the supplier's industry, or falls back to your organisation's default
• The supplier's primary contact is pre-selected as the recipient — change or add contacts as needed
• Preview exactly what's in the package before you send
• Or start onboarding without a package and add requirements later

⏰ Automated Document Renewals

oboloo can now chase expiring documents for you, across both supplier and contract records.

• Automatically request a replacement before an approved document expires
• Send follow-up reminders if the supplier doesn't respond, and escalate to the record owner if they still don't
• Track each replacement through upload and approval, with the original kept intact and linked throughout
• Control it all from a new Automations page in Settings, with the option to exclude individual documents

📁 eSourcing: Request Documents from Suppliers

Within a sourcing activity, you can now tell suppliers exactly which documents to upload — insurances, certificates, RFP responses and more.

• A new Request Documents step in the sourcing wizard lets you specify what you need from every invited supplier, each with a type and clear instructions
• Requested documents appear directly in each supplier's response, alongside anything they choose to add themselves
• Suppliers can't submit until every requested document has been uploaded, so nothing gets missed
• On your Documents tab, see which invited suppliers have opened each document you've shared

📋 eSourcing: Pastable Pricing Grid

Building pricing into a sourcing activity is far quicker.

• The Pricing step is now a grid you can paste line items straight into from Excel or Google Sheets
• Add, edit and bulk-delete rows, with each line kept on a single row and clear inline validation
• Works the same when creating, editing or reopening an activity, and when suppliers respond

📊 eSourcing: Export Questionnaires

Get all your sourcing questionnaire responses in one place.

• New Export button on the Questionnaires tab of a sourcing record
• Exports every questionnaire and all supplier answers into a single CSV, with a column per supplier
• The file is named with your activity and the date, ready to share or analyse

💬 Mentions in Latest Activity

Mentions are now easier to spot and act on.

• Get an email whenever someone mentions you on an activity, with a direct link straight to the record
• Mentions now stand out clearly in the saved Latest Activity view, not just while editing

🤖 Smarter AI Summaries

Your AI summaries just got more complete.

• AI insights on record pages now draw on everything captured in Latest Activity — notes, calls, meetings, emails and more — across all four modules
• Summaries reflect the full, up-to-date story of a record, not just its core fields

⚡ Quick Add Improvements

Create new values without leaving your flow, now in more places.

• Quick add added for Location and Department on Supplier and Contract record pages, and Supplier on Savings record pages
• A refreshed quick-add design that stands out more clearly wherever you create on the fly

As soon as you enter or edit a supplier's name, oboloo will check it against published UK and UN sanctions lists and flag any match — with a clear warning on the supplier's profile, a live indicator as you type, and a new optional column on your supplier and compliance tables — so you can review before you transact.

New to oboloo? A guided setup will configure the platform around the modules you want to use — creating starter configuration like document types and scorecards for you, and even onboarding your first supplier if you'd like — so you're up and running in minutes.

🧭 Explore with Sample Data

New accounts will open pre-populated with realistic sample records, so you can explore a fully working platform instead of empty tables. Everything is clearly marked as Demo, and when you're ready to work for real, you can remove it all in a single click — your own records are always kept.

📄 Drafts & Unapproved Records in Default Views

The main Supplier, Contract and Savings tables will show draft and unapproved records by default, so you see the full picture the moment a page loads.
